Latest project: Made By Me Crafts website redevelopment

I'm very excited to announce the launch of Made By Me Crafts!

I was approached by Michelle, a fantastic maker of handcrafted gifts and keepsakes, from cake toppers to fun quirky pebble pets, and more! Michelle was having some trouble getting a website set up for her business using a popular website builder. Not only was Michelle struggling with some layout elements, but she was concerned about her site loading speeds. This was especially noticeable on her shop page which was integrating with her pre-existing (and successful) Etsy shop. In addition, she was unhappy with the marketing banners placed on her site by the website builder, and the high prices they wanted to charge to remove these.

Having talked with Michelle about what she did and did not like about the site she'd begun creating, and discussing the limitations/costs of using the website builder she'd selected, I advised that we move forward with a fresh development of her site using WordPress. WordPress would free Michelle from the additional fees wanted by the website builder to remove their advertising and speed up her site. It also offered greater flexibility; allowing Michelle to select a theme that fit with her vision of the site. From there I set about creating exactly the website she'd been dreaming of.

Michelle's new site already contains an active and very interesting crafting blog, as well as offering exclusive items not available elsewhere, plus fun Made by you interactive activities the whole family can enjoy.

So, head on over to and check out Michelle's new website - let us know what you think over on Twitter: @NatB_WebDesDev and @MadeByMeCrafts_ !
